| Strachan content with progress of Boruc talks
CELTIC manager Gordon Strachan insists he has no fears over goalkeeper Artur Boruc's future at Parkhead. The 27-year-old still has two years to run on his current contract with the option of an extra year should both parties agree to an extension. But recent reports suggested the Pole was growing impatient as he waits for a new offer from the Glasgow outfit. On the eve of their CIS Insurance Cup quarter-final meeting with Hearts, Strachan said: "We offered him talks at the beginning of the season and that is ongoing. We were the ones that instigated them and at the moment it's going great with (chief executive) Peter Lawwell and Artur so that's fine." .
Fatwa against camel parades
A LEADING authority within Saudi Arabia's hardline form of Islam has condemned camel beauty contests as evil, saying those involved should seek repentance. Camel pageants have become major events in the desert kingdom. "Everyone must repent of these acts from which no good can come because of its evils, and they should beg forgiveness from God," said a fatwa, or religious ruling, issued by Sheikh Abdul-Rahman al-Barrak and a lesser-known sheikh. Shoppers head to WESPAC's Fair Trade Festival
WHITE PLAINS - In the world of fair trade, even the goats have a decent quality of life. In this case, the goats are in Pennsylvania and supply the milk that Annie Adams of Bloomingburg, N.Y., uses to make her soap. "We're helping them as well," she said of the goats' owner. "Her Web site is a tribute to her goats." Adams, formerly of Dobbs Ferry and now of the Catskill Soap Company, was offering lilac handmade goat's milk soap from her table in Asbury Hall at Memorial United Methodist Church in White Plains. Twenty-eight vendors had set up shop yesterday across the hall's pale-pink floor tiles as part of the Fair Trade Festival sponsored by the WESPAC Foundation, a White Plains-based peace and justice action network.

Some quarters, however, have doubts on CSPO given a decade-long criticism from various groups, including non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from developed consuming nations like the United States and Europe. .

Shecky's Beauty Night
You know its going to be a hot event when you arrive ten minutes after the show opens and theres already a line down the block. The first glimpse of Sheckys annual Beauty Night Out in Manhattan: The posh flea market took place October 24 and 25 on three separate floors of Loft 11 and featured Sheckys Best Of products. Upon reaching the door, Sheckys staff greets you so many times that you immediately feel like a diva. But the real fun began on the 15th floor, where you checked in, got your wristband and a fully loaded goody bag. Some of the amazing sights on that level were Chameleons hand-made copper jewelry, Luxe Essentials' body butter, which smelled like real fruit, and Biggs and Featherbelles handmade, all-natural body products.
